NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The disturbance we’ve been watching for the past few days is now in the northern Gulf and it’s set to bring increasing storm chances as soon as this afternoon.

Disorganized is the word of the morning associated with Invest 93L. The storm has lost its circulation and will need to redevelop one if it ever wants to achieve a storm status. The most likely area it may reform is right off the immediate Louisiana coastline Thursday morning.

Either way, our impacts remain the same. Be prepared for periods of heavy storms, especially those that live near the coast. A Flood Watch is in place through Saturday. I’m expected a widespread 2-4″ of rain with some spots closer to the coastline seeing 6″+.

Stay tuned to the weather over the next few days!
